The Journal of forestry has published our paper based on a survey of 100 US Forest Service Research Scientists. Approximately half the survey respondents, and more women than men, indicated that they had experienced work-related discrimination or harassment. Survey respondents identified gender as the most common basis of discrimination. This paper was based on research done by myself and several colleagues and highlights the work we all still need to do to eliminate discrimination and harassment in natural resource institutions.
